Andrew Welch 0 #1 Posted February 20, 2020 Hello. I had a New Holland GT18 a long time ago and as usual wish I had held onto it. Been looking for a replacement for a little while but not having much luck in South Carolina. I was always curious why the XI series did not have a diff lock when it seemed like Toro was trying to compete with the Deere 425 445 etc. Could someone tell me what axle/differential was used in the XI series and if it ever had a diff lock in other tractors. Thanks for any information. I grew up mostly with and around Jacobsen and Cub Cadet garden tractors and never had any exposure to Wheelhorse. Enjoying all the posts about the older Wheelhorse units and their capabilities.

tunahead72 2,554 #4 Posted February 20, 2020 Hi Andrew... I can't answer your question, but I can at least welcome you aboard, from a used-to-be South Carolina guy (I grew up in Beaufort, a LONG time ago).

And I believe there is a limited slip version in some late 60s early 70s models but I can't tell you the exact ones @953 nut may be able to help here. Andrew Welch 0 #6 Posted February 20, 2020 Thanks for the responses. I see Tunahead is now in PA. I’m from Cleveland and only been in Bluffton for about a year. Spent a lot of time in Philly and Beaver Falls PA over the years. Still get back up North a couple of times a year so gonna see what I can find at some point. If you're lucky, you'll "find" yourself in Arendtsville PA about the time of the big Wheel Horse show in June. Many of us here can recommend it as a very good time!
