I'm sitting here looking at the beauty in the swirls in the metal and thinking hmmmm... what would it look like to spray clear on it to seal it. Just a thought for now. JoeM 7,700 #6 Posted February 2, 2020 I've used this stuff on all kinds of applications, works great. Has UV protection, buffs up and can be wet sanded buffed to shine. Unfortunate thing, it is only in rattle can form and you need to wait a week to buff. I tried the acrylic lacquer clear coat stuff and it was not nearly as tough. tom2p 2,393 #9 Posted February 2, 2020 or maybe just wipe with WD-40 now and then ? how damp is it where the tractors are parked and used ? most of the aftermarket off road motorcycle pipes are now nickel plated (or chrome or whatever) - but at one time most were just unpainted metal years ago - instead of painting - I clear coated the bare unpainted exhaust pipes on my off road bikes scuffed them with fine scotch brite pads and sprayed clear on them (spray can) the finish probably lasted as good or better than any quality black high temp paint I had previously used - including Krylon etc Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
