If you moved the hood forward you would gain a ton of seat space without having to add to the wheel base and adding a little tractor in front of the front wheels will help the proportions since you’ve go tractor sticking out behind the rear wheels. For width, have you considered narrowing the bed? Then you wouldn’t have to move the tires out so far to set it between them. I moved the hood forward after the video was taken and gained quite a bit of room. At this point, I don’t think I need to stretch the frame any more, just figure out where the hood needs to be in relation to a bench seat. I am pretty stuck on not hacking the bed for the time being. Just a thought but why not 3 WH seats side by side on a beam going across? Outside two Act as fenders and take up the width of the bed...when you are alone or with others driver just uses the middle seat... I'm sure there are a lot of bad hub around. I thought about that last night, however the 15” wheels up front have different size inner and outer bearings that fit a VW beetle spindle. I have a set of spindles from my buggy that happened to be a little bent so I won’t mind cutting them apart to build new tractor spindles. 1 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I still want to have an automatic disconnect (centrifugal clutch) between the engine and transmission while not in motion. If I build a special foot pedal motion control, I’d like to have the engine run at idle. Push the pedal, it hits the throttle and the transmission motion control at the same time. Off to the races we go. I just don’t want one of my girls to be used to getting on and off their gear jamming tractor when in neutral, only to hop off this and it starts creeping away. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Unfortunately the pattern is a bit large on the wheel side, it it’s spot on for the hub. I’ll keep playing around to figure out what needs to be done, then cut another piece. Pullstart 59,806 #173 Posted January 26, 2020 I smoothed the burrs on the hub clearance hole, chucked it up in the lathe and scribed a line around the outside of the piece. Then I cut the big corners off so I can still drill, but it’s closer to being ready to turn down to a circle.
