No trailer queen... but it’ll get to the shows.  Time permitting, it’ll get stripped and painted up pretty before we load it with coop poop!

            Why don't you just move the pivot point forward of the frame a little.    I doubt that any "Purest"  would even notice it on this otherwise unaltered .

Well you see, I have moved it forward to the point that I’m happy with it.  It’s all about the proportion to the sketch!  

 

Here is some progression with my fancy jig work to see how it moved forward.

The color of the bucket jig distracts from the overall scheme, but I personally like the lines of the hood relative to the dump bed...

 

Please paint the bucket Regal Red and resubmit photos for a final grade by the RS brain trust...

Oh it’ll get paint.  All of it will get the paint.  I love the way Frank turned out with the patina from years of work and clear over... but this is getting the paint.

I received my bolts and studs in the mail.  I figured because I’ll have more spacers, I can still run a couple bolts on each hub and these countersunk flat head socket bolts can help to center the adapters on the hub.  I have room for a lot of spacers if needed, running these 3” studs.  The first spacers will have clearance holes to clear the head of a normal bolt.

Munster Mobile!  I am doing a 2 seater, just using the WH pan and seat for visual mock-up.  It’ll all change during the build..

I pulled down my first WH frame I ever had, the 502 bones.  I don’t foresee putting Putt Putt back to stock, so this should be all I need to cut and weld the dump truck frame.

I stripped the roller parts down and took some measurements.  Surprisingly I won’t need much kick up in the chassis.  The center of the front axle pivot pin is about the same height as the top of the frame at the trans mount!

I’ll see shortly...  right now, the 3/4” pegs limit any outward steering.

With the front half of the chassis trimmed up, a 2” spacer clamped between the two assures me that things will come together quite well.  When I weld the two halves together, I’ll push the kickup as far forward as possible to maintain the most leg room.
