I'll have to open this later at home on the PC where I've got a nice big screen and also I can show Trina and her mom. Both will get a kick out of it like me.

Thanks for sharing this!

Holy crap.....Ive dun a lot of work in GM,Ford,Chrysler, and Suzuki/GM plants. To see this really far and beyond dates anything I was around and is absolutely so cool.

What a collectors item! I was renovating a old House in Windsor Ontario and lo and behold in behind a joist I found a 1927 Eatons Store Catalogue. Yellowed but in very good shape. They even sold horse drawn wagons in there.....Its pact away but the next time i pull it out I will have to see if Wheel Horsies are in there too.

Terry:   A very interesting history lesson on the Ford Motor Company plant as of 1917.    A friend of mine in Greencastle has a 1917  Ford and interestingly that year the company quit using brass in its radiators and other parts as the World War I requirements for brass took precedent.   1917 was the first year Ford made a pickup truck also.

Here are a couple pictures of my friend's  1917 Ford.

Well, I AM a Ford fan! and every vehicle I own is Ford! Took me awhile to get there, but I would not trade our 1995 F250 PowerStroke, our 1981 Bronco, or our 1969 Falcon Futura wagon for anything! (Well.... if it was given to me, I would not be stupid!)

Cool post!!

Honestly, I don't hold much legion with any brand of vehicle, but Ford would be down at the bottom of my list for a new truck, with Ram at the top. I have own a few Fords, a few Chevys, a few Dodges, a couple of Toyotas, etc., and just like L&G stuff, there's pros and cons in each.  As for a new Ford truck, I wouldn't rule one out, but I don't like their styling - but then again, everything is starting to look like each other.

Cool post!!

we had Chevys / GMCs - gas and diesel ... 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton

also had Fords - 3/4 ton

never had Dodge - but they look good

my fav was the 93 Ford ... F250 ... searched for a power stroke but we found a nice clean low mileage  gas ... even had locking hubs (that my father preferred) ...

great truck - but everything rusted

and I mean *everything* ... odd things including both fuel tanks ... pumpkin covers ... brake and trans lines ... power steering lines ...

was told oil pans often rusted

pumpkin covers and oil pans rusting ... wth ?
