I had asked a few questions about a 64 model tractor, I picked it up today. Here are a few pics. I will post more later today...

This is what I initially found

But after searching the area, and finding the deck about 1.5 miles away this is what I have

Can someone confirm the ID of this tractor please.

Thanks

It has a Briggs on it in the first picture but a Kohler in the rest of the pictures. :omg:

Is the Kohler the original engine from that tractor?

The serial number is very close to the one on my 854, so I'll go with 854 - unless you tell us that the Kohler is the original K-161.

The 8hp Kohler is the original engine. The fuel pump went out so the PO tried to put on a different engine but failed to get it lined up.

There are a few things needed. I snapped a lot of pics. I know I need a carb and breather for the 8HP Kohler, a drive belt guard, pulley for the drive axle, clutch spring, seat, and steering wheel. I will also be looking for new decals later on when I start the restore. I will just be scrounging around for parts. Probably be this fall before I start work. Just starting to spray all the bolts with penetrating oil and filled the Kohler with Marvels Mystery Oil.
