JCM 10,225 #2 Posted September 22, 2019 As much as we all enjoy our tractors it is nice to see you all taking a break from wrenching on them, I think I have figured out who the photographer was. Meeha definitely seemed intrigued by the Bear, good thing it was wooden or it may have been her lunch. Congrats on picking perfect weather. 1

Mows4three 826 #4 Posted September 23, 2019 Sweet looking trip, Eric. Looks like my kind of camp. We have Adirondack shelters on the Laurel Highlands Trail near us. They have a fireplace built into the open end. Sure are nice in the spring and fall to take the chill off. Happy trails, pardner! Dave 1

Stormin 9,985 #7 Posted September 23, 2019 What's the story with the cemetery, Eric?
ebinmaine 72,710 #8 Posted September 23, 2019 1 hour ago, Stormin said: story with the cemetery, Here in Northern New England there are thousands of private graveyards or cemeteries. This one was on the side of one of the trails which was obviously a cart road back in the 1800s. The oldest grave we found was 1825 and the newest one was in the 1880s if I remember right. The Leavitt family, all through there. One of the things I forgot to mention in my original post is that this park was part of the CCC or civilian conservation corps work that was done in the 1930s. The shelter at the campsite that we were staying was constructed in 1937 and rebuilt by eagle scouts in 2012. 4
