Huh.

6 brake light bulbs, 2 still working.  Seems auto manufacturers could give another dummy light for a blown bulb...  In my mind, brake lights are much more important than turn signals.  I use my turn signal, but if it was out, someone is just inconvenienced... not in my back seat.

Lost count of the times I see brake lights come on before indicators. Turn signals to you. And the number of cars you meet with a head light out, usually the off side, is something else.

I think that those vehicles must be too old to have indicators for all of the lights. My ol' ladies Jeep will tell you if you have so much as a license plate light.

:hand: I beg to differ Kevin, all of those indicators lights are equally important...

a non working, or not using a turn signal can easily be just as deadly.  :auto-swerve:

I see here often same, breaklights fails, Headlights fails, rearlights fails,

it was the responsibility to the Driver everything works correct in the Car.

If there no Checklights in, you have to take care, all Bulbs work as needed.

We had a company truck pulling a trailer in Atlanta get hit in the side. Pickup and trailer. When our man asked him why he didn't see that pickup and 16 ft trailer his reply was. I had my turn signal on before I moved over.

Don't remember how many times a car would come into the shop with no headlights and BOTH bulbs ended up being blown. :o

( My wife had a Volvo that would tell you who was sleeping with who as you drove by a house)! :occasion-xmas:

The Fusion is definitely new enough that it should have a dash indicator. The PT cruiser and chevy pickup are right on the verge of being new enough.

My 81 Porsche 928 has warning indicators on the dash for brake lights and tail lights.. I never trust them though, as they come on and go off at random times even though all of the bulbs are good!

With today’s throw away mentality, aren’t we supposed to get a new car when a bulb burns out?

I did mobile auto glass for 25 years around Kansas City and I could write a book on the crap I saw. Wish I would have had a go-pro, I could be making money on YouTube!
