prondzy 3,867 #1 Posted September 17, 2019 So many of you know i picked this little one up from @WHX24 a few months ago, the tecky was tired so today i started her transplant. Here's the patient before surgery Here is a pic of the donor motor this is a fully rebuilt k161 that had lime green tins on it. I aged them appropriately to match the rest of the tractor Here's she is after receiving the new heart, can you tell the difference? All thats left to do is finish routing cables and fuel line then back on the table for a rebuilt rear end as i plan on running her at jims plow day pulling a pp-8 plow. 6

AMC RULES 36,954 #3 Posted September 17, 2019 Looks great! Here's hoping... them duals don't make your axle seals start to leak. Are you running next to no tire pressure on that outside set? 1

Are you running next to no tire pressure on that outside set? Its only on the left side, this side is on top of the furrow and aids a little in traction, mostly for looks like the big tractors 3

WHX?? 46,902 #13 Posted September 17, 2019 (edited) Lookin good Mike! Glad to see you got those fronts straitened out too! Don't scrap the tecky tho was always a one puller and a decent runner once one gets the gov issue sorted. Did smoke worse than me tho! Might be be a good motor for a LR project??? 15 hours ago, AMC RULES said: don't make your axle seals start to leak. Shouldn't Craig, I pulled both hubs, broke one side getting it off being the horse's petoot I am but @Lane Ranger came to the recue with a replacement. Emptied a MC bottle of acetylene getting it off but won! Replaced seals but CRS if the bearings ok Mike? If you haven't already check the tranny oil... lots of water in it at one time. I filled it to the shifter hole with kerosene and left it set for a long time and drained and refilled but wouldn't hurt to drain and refill once more. Seals held the kerosene fine. Shifters got a nice patina! Edited September 17, 2019 by WHX24 1
