ebinmaine 63,113 #1 Posted September 9, 2019 The engine that is in Trina's Pony Horse temporarily is a 1978 or 9 Briggs 8 single. Aluminum block. The drain plugs in the base are one on each side of the engine. Both cast iron. 1 seeps a bit but I don't dare to over tighten it for fear of stripping the aluminum. Any suggestions? Stike 204 #6 Posted September 9, 2019 I've wicked pipe thread using cotton string wrapped in the Male end and threaded the part in, helps seal imperfections and holds up to heat pretty good, or if you can use the other plug jb weld starting about 3 threads down should work.
