Ed Kennell 42,016 #1 Posted September 7, 2019 Fall harvest came early this year. The corporate farmer usually doesn't pick the corn until mid October. But, they were picking early this morning. Many farmers in the area have switched from corn and soybean to hemp farming. This may have an affect in the corn prices and harvest times. I spent the morning clearing some trails. Hung a couple tree stands. Cleared out my favorite ground blind. My Amish neighbor was busy picking pumpkins. Time to head home for lunch. 4 3
JAinVA 4,637 #2 Posted September 7, 2019 All the local farmers are still growing soybeans and corn.Wheat in the winter.I have to say I was surprised at all the soybeans they planted.I didn't think there much of a market for it. Thanks for sharing the pictures. It looks like you have nice weather up there.
Ed Kennell 42,016 #3 Posted September 7, 2019 We had some Dorian showers yesterday, but yes, today is beautiful. Here are a few pics from the trail cameras I had under my tree stands. I had 457 pictures. A lot of activity, but no "shooter bucks".
ebinmaine 72,706 #4 Posted September 7, 2019 We consume next to nothing of corn, soy or hemp so I guess I wouldn't miss any of them. Beautiful pics though.....
