Are there any numbers on the engine? Seat looks like my '93 but I'm sure they didn't change seats every year.

:confusion-confused:       Turns out the same Spec. # 471527 Kohler engine was used from '87 to '97 so we can't tell by that.     :text-imsorry:

Paul, do you have a serial number list?

I don't think the decal sets changed much after 1990. @Vinylguy may be able to spot some subtle difference.

Per the Magnum single manual the first two digits of the serial are the year.  15 is 1985 16 1986 etc

Engine made in 1990 would land on a 1990 or 1991 model tractor.

Toro data suggests the 1990 312-8 used a 110996 transmission that has 1" axles but that is not correct.

Toro data suggests the 1991 312-8 used a 110995 transmission that has 1-1/8" axles.

Did not want someone to think the tractor could be dated with these differences.

Both the 1990 and 1991 312-8 used a 110995 transmission that has 1-1/8" axles.

Serial 2005910383 looks to be well into the 1990 Kohler production so my guess it is a 1991 model 31-12K802.

So, I was able to identify my re-powered D 160 as a 1978 and the really nice C-160 I bought had documentation that it was a 1975.  I am not well-versed on newer ones and am looking at what appears to be a 418, but hood was repainted and original decals are gone.  Is there a serial number on the frame, and would it help me figure out if it is an a, b or c?  If so, where might I find it?  This machine has hydro, and dozer blade with hydraulic lift, which my arms would very much appreciate.  It appears to have wider wheels than the tractor sitting next to it, and has ag style utv  23-12-12 tires on it, as well as WH wheel weights.  I am wondering it it might be a c model, but would like to confirm before making an offer.

418 with hydro and lift would be either a 418A or a much rarer 418 C.  If there is a chrome shield over the muffler and a string of idiot lights on the left of the dash it is a 418A

Engine should be a magnum 18 what is the spec nomber?  (Stcker on a smal cover top of engine near fuel pump)

Edit  Only made 1 year 1987
