Getting ready to push stuff around

Had the day off so I figured I’d get the plow situation set while I wait for mower deck parts.

I have the rear tires weighted to 90# ea. The old ag tires are dried out and have some cracks but still hold air tubeless. I have a set of chains but they do a number on the driveways I plow. I see a tire spray that’s supposed to improve traction. Anyone ever try it? Is there something out the to soften old rubber? I the really don’t wanna drop $160 on new tires when these still hold air. 😁

That’s my 4”x3/16” plow edge. It’s a 50” long piece I got from the cut pile at the local steel yard. It was cheap and has lasted a long time. I flipped it for the first time. 

I may put tubes and fill my fronts with RV antifreeze. I’m also gunna make a downpressure link soon. 

 I haven't used it to plow in about 5 years due to transmission issues that are now solved and some timing adjustments that quelled almost all of my engine knocks.

season!  your weights look a lot like mine .  Any idea of the maker?

This tire lubricant was recommended to me and I've used it on several pail of old tires.  I give the multiple coats, i think I put 6 brushed on light coats on and old set of 6x12 Ags inside and out. it doesn't work miracles, but It does seem to soften them a little.

I have no idea. I bought the rims, ag tires and the outer weights from a friend for $100 about 13 yrs ago. He was building a pulling tractor and these were too small. The inner weights ( which I found out they can be mounted inside on this forum, thanks!) I think the same guy gave to me when he quit pulling a few years later. 

They have no legible markings I can find.

They have readable markings I can find.

Yours fit in the rim better and look thicker. My outer ones weight around 40#s I think the inners slightly less.  

 They’re curved slightly for stacking I guess. I have them dished in. I had them both on the outside and they stuck out and got caught on stuff occasionally. Now with 1 in and the other out there’s nothing sticking out beyond the rim.

There is a cast “130TW” and that’s it. 

OH! I don’t know if it’s been done but I put my bolts on springs. I can easily line up the weight and I use my 1/4” impact driver and 3/4” socket to cinch it down. They’re old valve springs.
