wallfish 15,919 #2 Posted July 21, 2019 I'm not familiar with that particular engine but the most common cause of surging or governor hunting is the carburetor. It's either dirty or leaking in extra air. If you can smooth out the rpm by using the choke, that will indicate the carb is the problem .
