Digger 66 3,488 #1 Posted July 3, 2019 (edited) I know there are a few of you and if any of you are on Facebook and know anyone could you give this a look and maybe a share ? 2 nights ago my mom awoke to find her screen open and her less than 1 year old kitten had gotten out . She went missing somewhere between 10 pm and 2 am . She (Gracie) has never been outdoors and she's absolutely heartbroken . As am I after developing a loving relationship with this little gal . I took off work yesterday and we spent the day walking her neighborhood calling and rattling some treats . We put up tons of fliers on telephone polls and she has talked and searched neighbors yards . I had to go to work today because I had no tears left to cry for "my little angel" . I can only assume the worst will happen from here . I'm going to spend the night at her house tonight and walk the neighborhood in the wee early hours because I hear sound travels better . Please say a little prayer for us as this has been very difficult . Thanks guys Edited July 4, 2019 by Digger 66
Sparky-(Admin) 23,158 #2 Posted July 3, 2019 Wish you and your mom luck...hope the kitty gets found. It’s amazing how pets can get to be so dang important to us. I have an indoor cat and I watch him like a hawk when a door gets opened. Like your moms cat mine has lived inside for 9.5 of his 11 years. I would be doing exactly what your doing.

JAinVA 4,637 #4 Posted July 3, 2019 I hope you find her.My daughter had a cat she raised from a kitten and after moving many times she wanted the cat back. Her mother and I refused because once let loose she might never get her back in a strange environment. My daughter understood and Willow lived here for a long time.Again I hope you find the cat.Luck,JAinVA

Digger 66 3,488 #6 Posted July 4, 2019 (edited) Whatever you guys did worked . Timeline 02:30 NY While just on the edge of sleep , I heard a faint "mew mew Rrrrrdddowwww" from outside . Sprang up and out the door on the other end of her house . I faced tword the mewing and called softly ...Gracie ....Gracie-bear (<my little nickname) . I saw her eyes shining first as I knelt down and called again and to me she came . It's a little after 3 now and I'm home and Mom is with her kitten I'm soooo overcome with emotion , my eyes are completely raw but all is well . I need some food , a peaceful 2 or 3 hours of sleep then it's off to Wal-mart for 2 flea collars and back to moms . THANK YOU ALL FOR WHATEVER YOU DID ! squonk 43,843 #10 Posted July 4, 2019 Great News!! Something about Buffalo and cats. My son lives in west Buffalo and was lonely and wanted a cat. My wife knew of someone who had an orange tabby named Charlie that the other cats in the house didn't like so she was looking for a home for it. My wife picked him up and brought him to Buffalo. 2 days later my son calls and he can't find him. We look all over the apartment, down in the laundry room the attic ect. calling his name, nothing. We figure he got out somehow and he's gone in the city. We're all upset and it's11 PM and we have a 2 hr. drive to get home and have to work the next day. We get half way home and get a text. He found Charlie. He went to bed and heard a faint meow somewhere in his bedroom. Charlie had gotten into a dresser drawer in back of the drawer itself somehow!
troutbum70 858 #11 Posted July 4, 2019 My wife and I have a cat named LeRoy that looks just like Charlie, we rescued him when my uncle and aunt passed away a couple years ago. We never new what my uncle actually called him so I gave him my uncles middle name which was LeRoy. 1
