B 82 will not start

I have an old B 82 (from the 60s) that will not start. Started earlier today. I have tried everything.

 

Basically, it sparks but it does not turn over. What could be happening here?

 Sounds like it could be a number of things. I would start with all your electrical connections and make sure they are all clean and have a good contact. Then I would check the battery to see if it’s fully charged .

Which electrical connections you would check? I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Check all . Grounds, positive, starter. Take

them loose and take a razor knife and clean.Then go from there

Lets clarify your issue you say it sparks but doesn't turn over... (you can't have a spark if the engine isn't turning over) Is the starter motor spinning the engine?? 

 

if the engine is spinning/cranking but won't run and you have spark (how did you test for spark?) Then it is most likely  a fuel problem  Spray some carb cleaner into the carb and try cranking the engine,  if it sputters/tries to run then you do have a fuel delivery problem.  No sputter then an ignition issue.
