I know at lot of you heat with wood.I have for over 30years and I love wood heat.These making bucking logs a lot easier on the back.

Bow saws are not a favorite of mine ( my father almost lost his foot using one ) but you sure have a big pile of firewood.

These attachments were the mainstay of the Southern pulpwood industry until they were banned.Jim Winder is right to be leery of them as they do have a fearsome reputation.I put this one together for my wife,Beverly.

I think any chainsaw used without full respect could be a harm to body parts.  Jim I wish I remembered it was you who used the bow saws, we could have talked firewood for a long time!

    Thanks for posting the You-tube videos.I have seen those before and that guy knows how to use a bow.There are some clowns on the tube that do dumb things like felling trees with the bow.The only thing I do differently than what's shown is I run a full length bottom guard.A 14" bow with the right guards in place has far less chain exposed than a 14" bar.
