BTW Cas, in addition to being a distiller, he is also a woodworker.    He has built several sawmills including a mobile that he tows directly to the tree.    He features slab wood furniture and is careful not to damage the bark of his lumber.

Some photos of setup would be really appreciated. Get also some pictures of his work if you can. Always interested in other's  talents.

Whilst I don't partake in the adult beverage scene anymore, I enjoy the experimental aspect of this conversation about distilling. A good subject to be bantered about at The Tailgate of Knowledge. Problem was everyone disappeared after dinner Wed. night. No night time motel bull session. I hope we aren't getting too old. Ideas bantered about keep the brain fresh and young! My brain tingling comes from Gale Banks youtube video's on trying to find the upper limits of a Duramax!

Man oh man... I got the 5 for $20 deal on the shot glasses and have been waiting to test them out in WI with the mafia boys!  Come to find out if I would have had a shot glass necklace ready at the show, I would have slept so much better than hot and sticky in the Walmart parking lot!

 

I used to dabble in the home made wine sector.  The best results have always come from organic apple coder cider from the health food store, then add raisins, brown surgar, cane sugar, cinnamon sticks, and the yeast.  Just add a balloon and wait a few weeks until the bubbles go away!   A good trip down the river with a quart of this stuff tied onto the tube, kayak or raft, and you’ll be a hop skip and a jump from a good time!
