500 series dash light decal adhesive question

Anyone got some good tips for reinstalling the decal over the trouble lights on 500 series dash. I have one where the decal came off and thought I would ask before reinstallation. I used Perm-a-tex adhesive on another with poor results.

Surface was kind of lumpy and not as nice as factory. I did see a product call decal on, an adhesive made for crafters.

Much as I love all of Terry's great decals, the dash overlay isn't one of them.

He can't find the proper material to let light through.

 

His look great on the tractor but you cannot see the indicator lights,

 

The spray adhesive may be an option so long as it also does not block light.
