SylvanLakeWH 28,070 #1 Posted June 22, 2019 Got a 1982 CB 125 S that is up and running... Only remaining issue is a frozen front brake cable that has been discontinued... So I have it on an oil drip to see if I can free it up... Any other thoughts?
Stormin 9,984 #2 Posted June 23, 2019 (edited) I don't know if you can still get them, but I have a couple of cable lubricators from my motorcycle days. The cable fits one end, then you fill with oil then fit the other end. One uses a screw down plunger, the other uses a bicycle pump. I'll take a couple of photo's tomorrow if I remember. You may find something on e-bay. BTW. What type of oil are you using? Hydraulic oil is a good rust shifter. Edited June 23, 2019 by Stormin

Stormin 9,984 #4 Posted June 25, 2019 Here's the photo's I promised. Bit late I know. The top one you screw down to force the oil through. The bottom one you attach a bicycle pump to force the oil through. The rubber washer that acts as a seal, is also split and all three go round the outer cable. 1
