Kohler powered push mower

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine has a Kohler powered push mower that wouldn't start. I sprayed carb cleaner in the carburetor and it fired then died. I pulled the carburetor apart and found junk in the bowl. The mower isn't very old and I was surprised to find it that bad. I cleaned it up including vents and holes and blew air through it with my compressor. I reassembled it and it started on one slow pull. :D:banana-wrench:

Yep that looks like corn juice damage. That crap is death for small engines. If you get it straightened out make sure your friend switchs to ethanol free fuel.If he doesn't you'll be back dealing with this again. The best we can do is to educate people to the damage that

occurs if used in small air cooled engines.
