WHX24, Did you have this 401 at the Portage, WI show last month? I remember seeing one there and wonder now if it was this one.  (Another 401 with Clinton engine and no fenders)

No I did not Rob, One of the few I left home. I only brought my 401 with a Kohler. I could use to start it (Clinton)  one pull but have not had it running in awhile. I had it for sale here for abit but no takers. It needs a little tlc in the transmission department,  axle bushings & seals. I must have missed the one at Portage.

There was also a Clinton powered 401 at the big show and it had a serial # about 75 higher than mine. Talked with the owner and he's not a member here. Should've got pic's, my bad.

I went back and looked at my pictures of the one I was thinking of at Portage and see it's actually a 400 model that was there; but similar otherwise with Clinton engine and no fenders. Sounds like a nice project tractor you have there; surprised no takers? How much do you need out of it?  Send me a PM if you'd like.

That would have been my400  if your thinkin this one Rob. Original patina, turf tires and Clinton. I did a complete stay orginal  resto thread on it way back

Yes sir, that's the one I remember. (Small world!) It had a front mount sickle mower/cutter on it at the show. 

 

Nice looking tractor!

Yup it was just laying under the tractor for show. but is a correct RJ or 'Burb bar.
