Puller for stuck on rim

Recommended Posts

don 76 wheel horse

This is some info for stack on rims. After almost a year trying to take off stuck on rims. Using P-B Blaster large rubber mallet time and time again. Also tried numerous pullers nothing. One suggestion was driving with loose bolts turning quickly. I finally found a 8 inch old style craftsman puller. That i added 2 bolts through the rim.   I also left 2 loose bolts so everything would not fly apart. Well in a few minutes a very loud pop and rim and tire off.

Seen a few stuck on rims. Always amazes me how stuck they can get.

Glad you set them free.

Wow.  I can’t imagine those being so rusted, they look pretty clean!

To prevent this, i allway‘s use a thin layer copper paste.

It doesn't take much. It's actually a very large surface area.

I once spent 10 minutes smacking a single rim off a 1 year old, 10,000 mile F-150, and the wheel was still on there when I quit to go get my face stitched up where the deadblow caught me on the flyback.
