What model Wheel Horse is this with a battery box welded to the frame?  Been trying to figure this out?

Lane, that appears to be a Model POHAW!    Previous owner had a welder.      :hide:           Did it come home with you?

Definitely appears xx4. My 654's tray is bolted on.

Maybe x04 that didn't originally have one?

Too bad you did not have the serial number. The welded battery tray was part of the tractor frame in 1963 so they may have used up their 1963 frame inventory before going to the 1964 frames with bolt-on tray.

They even used what was left of the 1962-63 A-xxxxx attachment serial numbers for the tractor serial numbers.

Could the shifter shape help narrow it down?

My 654 has a regular normal everday bent shifter but this has a 90 deg bend lower than the regular bend to apparently bring it forward a little more. Plus there's lawn ranger wheels on the front

After five and a half decades of service and previous owner repairs anything that bolts on may or may not be the way it left the factory. Only thing I know for sure is that @Lane Ranger has a mighty nice looking :wh: no mater what year it was built.     :handgestures-thumbupright:
