pfrederi 18,719 #1 Posted December 18, 2018 My Toro dealer just picked up a very nice 520-8. Trade in on a Zero turn. It has forward swept front axles and 1" spindles. Where they standard equipment??
roadapples 6,983 #2 Posted December 18, 2018 (edited) Yes. I think from '91 and newer Even before that. I was thinking gear reduction steering Edited December 18, 2018 by roadapples
ericj 1,579 #3 Posted December 18, 2018 The 520-8 was supposedly only one year only 1990. It had the forward swept axle but didn't have the gear reduction steering originally from the factory. The gear reduction steering came out in 1991, not sure if every 91 had it or not, or if it was a mid year change over. Was supposedly only 225 8 speeds built according to Toro. I know I've seen about half of them it seems like. seems most must have been sold in the northeast. If the price isn't to outrageous I would buy it. I personally have 2 of them. One in the middle of a restoration and one to use as a worker. eric j
