bk-scouter 93 #1 Posted March 21, 2009 Seeing that we've had some decent weather in Grand Rapids, I'm starting to think about putting away the single stage for the season. I have thoughts of building a wooden dolley to set the 42" blower on and roll it under the bench. I've seen a couple pictures of them, but has any one ever built one before, and do you have any tips or ideas to consider? I appreciate your wisdom on this -BK
Bill 4 #2 Posted March 21, 2009 Northen tools has some nice moving dollys for around 30 bucks, I used to have a few of them and they work good for what you want to do..
pfrederi 17,122 #3 Posted March 21, 2009 I just move the wheels to the highest setting and she rolls around easily just lifting on the mounting frame. If yours has skids instead of wheels use a couple pieces of scrap angle iron and two small cheap casters. Bolt the casters to the angle iron then bolt the angle iron to blower in place of the skids. bk-scouter 93 #8 Posted March 24, 2009 Yeah, I was there last Saturday too. I saw the dollies there for $30 each. They were right above the dolly wheels, which sells for around $8 a piece, plus using either 2x4's or steel angles to make my own. Can you say "no brainer"? <_< -BK
