tgordonjr 0 #1 Posted March 21, 2009 Well with my luck it was bound to happen. Only had it for a week and was running fine the first time I took it for a spin, but know after its been running for 10mins and I go to shut it off it lets out a loud bang from the exuast pipe, any ideas?
rustbucket 4 #2 Posted March 21, 2009 running rich and unburnt fuel is escapeing and pooling in the exhaust to the point it reaches a combustable mixture and the heat in the exhause ignites it maybe.
tgordonjr 0 #3 Posted March 21, 2009 that is what I thought. When the tractor is running it stinks, the whole backyard smells like exaust, and I have a decent size yard, and when I come in I smell like exuast. Is this a simple fix or somekind of involved process. I am pretty good when it comes to 4 wheel drives and older cars but tractors and small engines....well when you dont know have another beer and the answer will come. rustbucket 4 #4 Posted March 22, 2009 should just me a simple carb adjustment on the mix screws but dont turn them to the point its running to lean cause that will cause over heating.
