Found this for sale browsing for Wheel Horse stuff on Facebook earlier...haven't seen one before and was curious if it was a true Wheel Horse attachment?

Model 5318 according the R & B Wheel Horse Stables web site. They also have a good photo showing the spreader.

Cheers!

953 nut

According to a 1970 catalog of "Allied Attachments" :wh: sold units from other manufacturers at that time. Chances are they had a manufacturer of seeders make some for :wh: at some point. Here are some they sold then,

Seeder Broadcast - Herd Seeder Co. Inc.

Seeder Spreader - Cyclone Seeder Inc.

Seeder Spreader - O. M. Scott & Sons

Got one like that, except it's stainless steel and the frame is green. Says John Deere on it .

Thanks...might go pick it up anyway...I think in would be a neat thing to have, and looks to be built a lot more solid than the plastic ones the farm stores sell now

There's one for sale on CL about 2 hours away from me, same deisgn, but must be newer as it has a black and red Toro / Wheel Horse sticker on it. They are asking $25, but the hopper looks like it has a couple dents in it.

That one pictured looks to be on from cyclone manufacturing. I used to work there, but not for sure until seen in person.
