Pull start

Recommended Posts

HI I have this engine that had a nasty chipped aluminum rope pull starter , I'm fixing it up for a friend and want to convert it to a pull start to make it safer for his kids.

I have looked at a few posts about pull starts but my problem is there seems to be no old-time small engine guys around me , basically young guys with blank stairs until you give them a part number to google.

If anyone could help me with a amazon link or a part number that I could take to a shop. I guess I need the cup and the pull assembly. I have included a few pics of the motor.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

A232784

A232974

A231268

and an Eaton number,    165 01

Jack's Small engine is a good supplier.     https://www.jackssmallengines.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjw9sreBRBAEiwARroYm1ySFTCeopvv9PmI4jM4Fp9h4FZAc_M6jRHATd

Why would you want a Tecumseh Recoil??  There are plenty of Kohler options.  Beside even though I like Techys I have to admit their recoils are awful...
