5086 transmission vent??

how are these transmissions vented? i picked up my seals today and have started reassembly. are they vented through the shifter? thanks for all the help and videos. while installing the shift forks i noticed they were difficult to move. i then polished the detents and installed new balls. shifting is smooth as silk now.

I think you are correct about the vent being the shifter hole under the boot.  :)
