Fluid change

The procedure should be simple, but I don't want to mess anything up, so I'll ask the question. I need to change the fluid in my '69 charger. What fluid? What filter? Where is the drain plug? I have searched for manuals to guide me, but cannot find anything. Thanks for any help.

First determine what is in there.  it may be ATF (Cherry Red) or 10w-30 motor oil tan.  stick with what ever is in there...  Filter Wix51410  You will need between 4 and 5 qts

  Drain plug on the bottom 1/4" hex

The 69 Chargers use 2 different hydros...Eaton 6 and Sundstrand 90-2046.  Here are the manuals for the Eaton 6, and the Sundstrand 90-2046.

Would the Eaton and Sundstrand both use the same filter? Thanks.

Yes, they both use the NAPA 1410 or Wix 51410.
