MikeJW 0 #1 Posted September 17, 2018 Good evening all! My new (to me) 314H has been doing great, but seems to not quite reach full power at max throttle. Is there s a way to adjust the throttle to achieve proper max power/RPM? When I move my throttle lever upwards to max position, RPM increases but tops out at about 2800 on my digital tach. I can see manually move the throttle lever on the carb a bit more to achieve up to 3600, but do not see an obvious way to adjust. Anyone have any advice? Here is a video I uploaded showing the throttle movement. Thanks! Mike a T
wallfish 15,769 #2 Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) There is a clamp near the end of the throttle cable conduit on the engine. Loosen that clamp, put the throttle up to full position, start the engine and pull on that conduit until the engine reaches 3600 rpm. Tighten clamp. Might be easier to use your 3rd hand or have someone help if necessary. Edited September 18, 2018 by wallfish
WH nut 553 #3 Posted September 18, 2018 There is also a throttle stop below the lever next to the cable with a screw adjustment
