dkg520 481 #1 Posted September 2, 2018 Today while cutting grass I noticed my fuel gauge was on full the entire day. When I finished mowing the fuel tank was just about empty and the float in the tank would freely move up and down but the fuel gauge still remained in the full position. When I shut the motor off then the gauge moves down to the empty position. Can I please get your expert advise as to what the problem may be. Thank you in advance. cleat 4,895 #3 Posted September 2, 2018 My latest 520 did that and it turned out to be a bad gauge, sender unit and wiring were fine. Luckily I had a good spare on hand.

1995 520H+96+97 935 #6 Posted September 2, 2018 On my 1996 520 the fender pan was touching the + terminal of the fuel sending unit, making the fuel gauge read full, when I was sitting in the seat.
