Ed Kennell 35,753 #1 Posted August 23, 2018 (edited) A loud machine noise in front of the house this morning brought me out of the barn to investigate. When I came around the corner, PennDot was setting up to trim my spruce trees In preparation of paving the road next week. They had to trim all the limbs that might interfere with the paver and the trucks as they dumped the black top. I told the foreman to take as much as they could, as I was going to remove the dying trees this winter. Edited August 24, 2018 by Ed Kennell 3
953 nut 51,646 #2 Posted August 23, 2018 Too bad you couldn't talk them into topping off the trees too.
SPINJIM 1,978 #3 Posted August 24, 2018 If you had slipped them a few bills, they might have taken down the whole trees for you, since they already went that far up. I did that once with the tree butchers that contract with the electric company. They must be pretty tall trucks that they're making room for. 1

Ed Kennell 35,753 #5 Posted August 28, 2018 Penn Dot was back with the hot stuff today. Hopefully this will keep my stone road from washing out.
