Horse Play 393 #1 Posted August 19, 2018 (edited) Hello all, I recently bought a K91 for my RJ58 and recently realized my engine was built in Mexico. It has spark and great compression - I added fresh oil and hopefully will try to get it to run today. What is the reputation of quality with this engine being built in Mexico? I just wanted to make sure this is a good foundation before I spend any more time and money on it. Thank you. Edited August 19, 2018 by Horse Play
953 nut 51,018 #2 Posted August 19, 2018 Don't know about the Mexican Kohler engines, but in 2007 Kohler began a joint venture in China and will be importing engines from there. I sure hope this isn't going to lead to even more Americans being put out of a job.
