Two small Rangers... One big project!

Recommended Posts

Recently I bought two Lawn Rangers, one from a guy that had it in pieces (he was going to restore it, but got bored with it). This one didn't run, and it is almost running good now. The second I purchased from @buckrancher. This one was all together and running great. Huge thanks!

So having two tractors that use the same parts, it should be really easy to do some restoration work on both, while always having one running, and usable! Here are some pictures before any work other than engine work, and some assembly work.

Did some prep work and painting tonight. The paint is still wet in the pictures, but it looks like it might be a little rough still. I might have to re sand the top layer of paint. Definitely looks better already though!

Let the paint dry, wet sand it and put on another coat. This really helps smooth the "rough" spots and makes the painted surface have better paint coverage.

Looks great! I've got this 655 I'm working on and I'm almost done! No way of getting board with it. Love these little machines!

good luck and keep up the good work!

As a side note, I somehow manage to keep finding myself more projects to do. Especially when I already have too many projects and not enough time! But this followed me home the other day, Im not sure what I want to do with it yet. I believe its a 1077.
