Rollerman 290 #1 Posted January 24, 2008 Anybody want to take a crack at identifying these wheel weights? They look very similiar to Bolens weights but lack the FMC or Bolens name? They came to me on the back of the 701 I picked up recentley. Just curious & thanks in advance.
kj4kicks 151 #2 Posted January 24, 2008 Yep, they are cast iron, and they look heavy. Is that what you meant ?? :D
Brrly1 1,146 #3 Posted January 24, 2008 My Guess would be a Cub Cadet look kind of yellow, but maybe I should put glasses on Burly
kpinnc 10,714 #4 Posted January 24, 2008 Can't tell you what they belong on- But I'll show you what they look like on a Bronco 14, and an 867, or a 310, or a Charger..... Kevin
Rollerman 290 #5 Posted January 24, 2008 Kevin as soon as I get a correct color on them...I intend to find out. John...deffiantley not Cub Cadet wheel weights...Cub wheel weights are only 25 pounders & used on the front of the Farmall Cubs too. These are in the 40/50 pound range. T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,342 #6 Posted January 24, 2008 Stephen, It's so obvious, that I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yet. Those are the cast wheel weights that are only for 1979 C-141 Automatics. They can only be used on this model and should only be used in Missouri. I definitely wouldn't want the Wheel Horse SWAT squad to beating down your garage door to confiscate those weights and hauling your horses away. I have a set of off-color plastic coated cement wheel weights - these are the ones you should be using. Now who owns a 1979 C-141 Automatic and lives in Missouri? Hmmm Oh, yeah, I do. I'll just take those cast iron ones off your hands. :P
Rollerman 290 #7 Posted January 24, 2008 Terry come & get them....but leave your plastic ones at home. :D
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,342 #8 Posted January 24, 2008 Now, now, is that the way to treat real imitation plastic. :D
pond195520032003 27 #9 Posted January 24, 2008 Stephen, im pretty sure they are for the early bolens ride-a-matics my brother has a pair just like em anyway as long as you have paint they will fit any horse in the barn :(
Rollerman 290 #10 Posted January 24, 2008 Thanks Greg...I was just curious. I was thinking the same thing but most Bolens wheel weights seem to have there mark or FMC. Probably paint them red & stick them on a horse...now what kind of red paint do I need to make them fit?...LOL
