refracman 166 #1 Posted February 27, 2009 I was looking at some tractors the other day and I seen one with no hood or belt guard, it has a starter/ gen Kohler 10hp , round fenders and a square metal seat, 4 speed. It looks to all original and has been sitting in a barn for years. So my question is how can I tell if it is a 1045? Is there something about the frame, dash/cowl, or rearend that will tell me what it is? I dont know a much about pre 73 so be nice
Brian1045 28 #2 Posted February 27, 2009 I'm not a pro on the little differences but here is a link to my 1045. I took A LOT of pics of it..Good Luck! http://s426.photobucket.com/albums/pp349/brian1045/ Note: there is another tractor in there that is not my 1045...just look past it. Kelly 1,028 #3 Posted February 27, 2009 first thing to look at is the dash, it should be for the square hoods, and have the round fenders, I'm busy right now, but I will list more later, but that is the big give away.
