Today on this intermittently rainy day I got and installed my new drive belt for the 312 after I almost broke the last one last Thursday. It looks pretty beefy so we’ll see how long it lasts. I can mow my entire lawn in 45 minutes so I don’t think it’ll be pushed too hard. I finished up the spots I didn’t get to on Thursday, no issues so far.

The style seat that I have on my Reborn B-80 has long been my favorite. I guess it just fits my scrawny butt good.

TSC carries them and often has them in stock. Some 13-14 years ago I put another seat on my 2005 Classic. It was another TSC product and I thought I wanted arm rests and a seat adjuster. I quickly found out I didn't want either and it ended up like this.

986348867_WHDecals1.JPG.c16ae771b1a31cd5309f435ae16e22f6.JPG

It's comfortable and has proven its durability but I needed a new seat for the Dino C-121 so I picked up another one of my favorites at the Lafayette TSC yesterday. On the drive back I decided to put it on the 2005 since I'm on that by far the most and that will likely be the case in the foreseeable future.

Now you certainly would think with all these options I could match something up. Right? Nope.

So out comes the drill and I make my own options.

Why drive to Lafayette to get it? First I verified they had one in stock. Second, I was headed to Crawfordville to meet up with one of the members here. @stvski80085 Steve drove over from Missouri and is now the owner of the Wheel Horse tub cart.

We had a great conversation and could have gone on and on but a long drive back awaited us. Over 4 hours for him.

It was great meeting you Steve. :)

Was great meeting you.  Now you have helped me at the start of this addiction.  Love the trailer.  Worth the trip for sure.

For years WH used a standard 7 x 7.5 " pattern then in the later 3/4/500eries they came up with something that doesn't seem to fit anything.

I was unlucky enough to triple check the bolting pattern on an after market seat. It was going to be off by about 1/8" but nothing the mill could open up.

Then when it arrives, the bolting pattern was completely different and nothing like the diagrame on the website. Ended up making a coupling plate between the two, which will sit me 32mm higher, but that's no biggy.

I have a bunch of leftover self drilling sheet metal screws from garage door installations that will make any seat fit just right. You don't have to worry about going too deep with them.

That's a strange place for a propane tank.

Maybe you could get free heavy pallets from your workplace and then drag them at an angle to finish grade on the open area.  Of course rocks and debris will need to be removed as you go.

Not a bad idea. We already have a few decent pallets....

I have used them quite a bit, you can add weight as needed, stumps work well for weight.

Back in my baseball playing high school days I was excused from my study hall periods on game days to prep the diamond.

I used my 51 chevy to drag the infield with a metal bed spring.   It did an amazing job of uncovering the stones and dragging them off the diamond.

Probably won't work for the boulders, but might help for the smoothing later.

That was the ticket back in the day but the '51 Chevy might be easier to find than a metal bed spring these days :dunno:

I used a metal bed spring when I built my house in 1975, of course it is long gone.  I pulled it around with my AMF Dynamark.  One thing to watch when dragging an area that was just cleared is catching a root and standing the tractor on end, how did I learn that?

Today I finished off my spare M12 with some Kohler stickers from Redo Your Horse, and added a finishing touch on the 312, 308, and the workshop/basement.

Today I swapped the locations of the electric fuel pump and the fuel filter on the 414-8.

I also got the tines off the tiller, and will order the seals now.

Spent some time cleaning the 418-8 and the deck. I put in a new battery and had already added a new seat and the grab handles. It also has electric lift.
