Lane Ranger 11,161 #4176 Posted March 13, 2020 (edited) Picked up another parts Wheel Horse RJ today! Saved for ten years by the previous owners father and he just did not get time to redo for his daughter. Three front wheels and two nice rear wheels. No motor nd steering tight. I bought mostly for the transmission which is very greasy and that is usually a good sign! Plus it has been inside for the last ten years! looks like I might be able to save the front wheels and rear wheels with Opps not B F Goodrich but Goodyear Sure Grips! Interesting set of genders and gender frame in this! I guess owner did not have the toolbox and Wheel Horse fender set on the tractor. And the RJ mower deck is not in terrible condition either! Not bad for all at $60 ! IMG_1158.MOV Edited March 13, 2020 by Lane Ranger 9 2

Its an aluminum fuel tank for a gt14. I cut it out and fit it. My son welds it together. It should hold just at 4 gallons. Little less than factory but hopefully will last a lot longer than the plastic one it came with. 👍 3 2 1
Tractorhead 9,110 #4180 Posted March 13, 2020 Looks very stylish, i like it and i bet it will last much longer than Plastic.👍 I do today a bit a rework on my turn Plow. So i set it deeper in the Mounting point, that the Load axle gets deeper. Why ? I read a lot about Plow’s and different setups on them and do several measurements. As i measured, the Pull angle seems too high, so my though was, if i reduced the height, it gets easier in the Soil and have a better down pressure on the rear axle after that change of Angle. After that change i try it in the muddy soil after and it seems my measurement works, i was able to pull it even in a muddy soil deeper than before, where the Soil was much dryer. It sticks if i try too deep, but with the hydraulics i can adjust it while in work. The slip can be seen left side on the grass. yes, it was on the grass not in the mud. Pretty cool. Not a good pict i know, while sundown. than i also redrilled the hydraulic cylinder lever, to have an better adjustment and a better setup. i also still prepared a three point rail (can be seen on the left side of the pict) for adapting the Plow onto the beast. But my first goal is, to use the Plow with the Horse. 2

Thanks, i feel honored. I also still not a plow boy before, but i love all technical Stuff. I like to construct things, if they senseful or not doesn‘t matter. I have my ideas and try them, also i try continousely update myself. once i working with microelectronics include programming but i like also rugged older Hardware. some of my projects are still running a few do not further, few i use continousely others are out of Service. But have another Wheel Horse, is allway‘s a good idea.👍 1

I see there are some mods there, though, lol...but thats ok; means i have a reason now, too, to setup a tractor with dual wheels😊 Maybe not a necessity...i wouldnt know...but its good enough reason for me!😊

He set up a dual landside wheel, but single furrow side. I think it might have been more for the looks of a big farm tractor, but I bet it helped more than Rylee knows!

That is the wheel that is going to spin when the ground get tough.
Tractorhead 9,110 #4194 Posted March 14, 2020 after a second try, the soil still was further too wet to get good traction and the slip was still too much to plow deeper, because of that i changed my plans. therefore i grabed my secret Weapon, the 4WD Beast. firstly i adapted the turn plow to the prepared 3 Point. For the horse i planing another adapt, what can be seen in background. Therefore i used a bended Metalplate, what works for my mounting point. As you can see on the tyres, it works. The own Weight of 650Kilos and the 4WD was a blast. if that‘s not enough, i have and difflock in spare. it pulls even in Idle complete to the ground. Because of the longer AS Paddles it develops more grip even in wet Soil. I be satisfied so far. Next will be the adaptation of the Tiller to the Back of the Horse

Tractorhead 9,110 #4196 Posted March 14, 2020 I did this in the last try, but i have to drove over the loosened soil an repress it. that was a proof of concept i‘m not satisfied with the result that much. i think if the tiller is in back, it works better. i like to do it in oposite, to keep the Soil
