I also gave the muffler on the C-141 a touch up as the high heat paint was coming off where the exhaust turned and went up the pipe. It’s been a productive day.

That muffler may melt your Wheel Horse decal.

@DLF It seems to be fine so far. The muffler is about 2 1/2 inches away from it. There has been no discoloration or visible heat damage after the decal has been on there since the end of October. I’ll keep an eye on it though. Thanks for the heads up.

Plenty far enough away.

A couple of mine are closer than that and they don't damage the decals.

That’s what I thought when I was figuring out how far out to cut the exhaust extension. Enough to not be a damage magnet but close enough to not damage the decals/paint. The 312 and 308’s exhaust are closer like yours. No issues there either. So far so good.

Just mowing with the 414…nothing special to see here. Then getting it in the shed up the steeper ramp it lost traction, rolled and the idiot driving it slipped the clutch pedal to much and she did a small wheelie. Well the right spindle drops out of the axle and when it comes down it snaps the ball outa the socket on the tie rod.
All fixed now. The E clip on top of the spindle is nowhere to be found. But the groove for it is full of crud making me think it’s been gone awhile and the accidental wheelie has brought it to my attention.
My new HF floor jack came in useful today

Brought the c-161 to the shop for the first time. It's in great shape. Blew the critter debris from everywhere compressed air could reach. Likely going to put the FEL on here instead of on the 165 since that sub-frame doesn't like the square hood.

Got a couple BIG loads of firewood brought up from down back of the barn.  I've never tried to stack as much wood in the trailer as I did today.

The first load is taller but has shorter length pieces.

The second load felt heavier.

I figured for sure that tractor tire traction would be the limiting factor. Nope.

The ole beast Cinnamon Horse C160-8 just kept on ah-chuggin'...

I was very pleasantly surprised at how well that went.

Second load:

I pulled decks from two this weekend. I've never had anything other than 48" until the 42" I recently got on a c-161. The 42" is SO MUCH more manageable :banana-wrench:

@ineedanother when using the Penetrol do you avoid applying directly to the decals? One of the main reasons I haven’t applied anything like boiled linseed oil or Fluid Film to my C160 is I’ve never used them on anything that had decals and have been worried that it may cause them to come off.

I tested it on a damaged decal and it was fine so now I apply it right over them. Mine are all original so I can't say how new ones would react and can't say for certain that even the originals are all the same.
