Pretty sure I got the recoil fixed🤞

:thumbs2: Yep a Fairbanks ... I had one that just gave me fits too. Yours even has the original handle.

Looks like she is eating go three.

Yep been feeding her the barn cat food the cats won't eat. Goes to show how much corn is in it.

Thanks I have a set of the V61's on this 520 and a C160 and tri ribs on just about everything else. I like the looks and the way they perform.

seat set up was too tall for her to fully reach the clutch and brake pedals

That’s the rule here. Gotta be able to stop if you wanna go (and there is a driving test you must pass).

To that end, though, I’ve put seat sliders on two of our tractors, each with ~5” of travel, which lets the “small” and the “tall” both be comfy and safe!

Honestly that’s not a bad idea. I’m about to order a set for both tractors.

Here too... Nieces and nephews - I tell them plainly that Wheel Horses are not toys. They can and will hurt you if you don't treat them with respect and care.

They are also a very rare group of kids that knows what a clutch is and how to use it...

We hosted one of our granddaughters for a week and, of course, asked if there were any special activities she’d enjoy. One was learning to drive the tractor with the clutch (854). She was quite taken with the nimble short frame vs. the much bigger 312-H and 518-H++ at home and at the camp.

Every so often one of my nephew helps me put away my tractors after I get them out. He’s 9 and getting pretty good at it. The 9 other nieces and nephews are familiar but don’t have a noticeable real interest in it.

My nephew Austin who’s 9 is one of them. He’s familiar with my tractors and how they work, he’s like my youngest brother (his father) who had no issues operating vehicles when we were growing up. In addition my nephews well ridden dirt bike has a mechanical clutch.

Not to double post, but I did do other tractor stuff. Today was finishing up the mowing deck from yesterday. I put everything back together and put the flap back on. It is better but still roars significantly. I did some more mowing at my house, my brothers and my parents. It works fine but could use tweaking.

I also put on a little padding to get rid of some rattles. I’m working the next few days. but once I get a minute I’ll see if anything changed. It’s a working tractor so I’m not looking for perfection. Better than it was is good too.

Today was our local clean up day and they take tires so I took up all of our tires that we no longer needed. The trailer is a 6 by 12 to give scale to how many tires we had

You missed a pile:

Those ones belong to the people that rent that house so I figured if they wanted to get rid of them they could take care of it since I was already well over the 6 tire limit

Today was 1st show of year in my area. Not a huge turnout due to overnight rain. It was a neighboring county antique engine club- I'm a member.  Only took the Suburban diesel. Ran it around for a couple hours with no issues thankfully. It was extremely wet & muddy though. Few times I thought I was gonna get stuck! Spent rest of afternoon cleaning truck, trailer, tractor, jeans, boots, etc🙄

It was a terrible day for wrenching here. took four hours to install some solids. The holes would just not line up and that's what she said.  Got it in the end but what a fight considering the last one only took an hour. Not only that @Achto busted a brand new piston ring and invented some brand new french. I'll let him explain.

Big plans for the day, carried a pallet of sod for a neighbor and got to work. Managed to remove grenade gears from the 16 Auto before another neighbor literally begged for help re-siding part of his house :crying-yellow:Canceled date night with the wife and didn't get much else done.

Thanks. I really tried to make it as subtle as possible. Took very little modification to make it work. It clatters & rolls coal. Had to remove & make/modify exhaust,  air filter, crank breather, & fuel overflow reservoir. Didnt wanna drill/tap original fuel tank. Ebay diesel.  Think its the same on Amazon. It has a decompression lever. Its hard starting in cold weather but if its over 60° it always starts on the 1st pull.
