my plow rig that hasn’t been started in a couple months and IS NOT on a battery tender

Hear a lot of hype about tenders. I have many tractors all with their own dedicated battery, own zero tenders. Always make sure they are at full charge before storage. So far I'm 8 for 8 with turn key start ups this spring.

I was just impressed that a 9 year old L&G battery is still getting it done.

I just replaced the same battery over the weekend, mine was 2013, no tender! :handgestures-thumbupright:

I've been trying to remove the tines on my tiller to replace the seals.  After much hammering, I have come to the conclusion that I have to split the case to remove the shafts in order to replace the seals.

Am I correct?

I removed the leaky fuel petcock from my 1-0440.  No o-rings, just a single seal that I'm unable to remove.

I replaced it with a 1/4" ball valve.  Suddenly, the fuel filter fills completely, and the engine has stopped stalling at idle.

I should have done this long ago. I don't even think I am going to try to find the original replacement since this works so well.

Oh, and I can now fill the gas tank without worries of it being empty the next day!

It's for my WH tiller.  I haven't mounted it - trying to replace the seals first.

I think I have to split the case to do it.  I'll probably dive into it next week.

I have the same seat on my C-160. I love it!

How did those plug wires work out?

then new gauge wheels...

I looked for some a while back and everyone was pretty proud of them $$$ or they were really cheap (and I don't mean not expensive...I mean cheap)

Today was the first mow of the season. All was good until I almost broke a PTO to deck belt for the 42” RD on the 312. The belt and deck came on the 308 when I bought it so I wasn’t expecting perfect. Then the throttle lever knob on the 312 came off. I epoxied it back on so it’s good. Tis’ the season….

Check you mule drive and center pulley bearings, The remains of that belt look too good for it to come apart like that. When I had a customer come in with a shredded belt I told them if the new one fails right away, I won't warranty it until I see all of the pullies. They almost always had at least one bad one.

@squonk Ok, the odd thing is I mowed with it last fall in this configuration and it was fine. For some reason this time it decided to shred the belt. The mule drive should be good. It came with the 312. I’ve had no issues before today with it or shredding belts. I’ll look into it. Thanks!

If you need another mule drive remind me when you're here.

Trina and her momma and I all spent several hours working in the garden this evening.

There'll be more pics and videos later.

I unloaded the rocks I bought with the FEL and put them in place. (It could lift 3 at once)

They look a WHOLE lot smaller now; I may need to go get a few bigger ones.

It should be simply to relocate it.  I can just swap the location of the pump & the fuel filter.

This may have been discussed already, but if the first pump failed in one drive, I would make sure all the fuel supply to it is still filtered.  It may be wise to just toss another filter in pre-pump :handgestures-thumbupright:

Here in Michigan no way MDOT or local road authority would allow... my neighbors just moved theirs after a notice from the city...

For good reason... those will launch a car... motorcycle, bicyclist...

I have same problem but I'll live with it vs creating a safety issue... :twocents-twocents:

In my neck of the woods, the snow plow would have those across the end of your driveway!
