HyperPete 787 #23431 Posted May 1 I removed the leaky fuel petcock from my 1-0440. No o-rings, just a single seal that I'm unable to remove. I replaced it with a 1/4" ball valve. Suddenly, the fuel filter fills completely, and the engine has stopped stalling at idle. I should have done this long ago. I don't even think I am going to try to find the original replacement since this works so well. The belt and deck came on the 308 when I bought it so I wasn’t expecting perfect. Then the throttle lever knob on the 312 came off. I epoxied it back on so it’s good. Check you mule drive and center pulley bearings, The remains of that belt look too good for it to come apart like that. When I had a customer come in with a shredded belt I told them if the new one fails right away, I won't warranty it until I see all of the pullies.
