I was just impressed that a 9 year old L&G battery is still getting it done. 1

HyperPete 787 #23430 Posted April 30 I've been trying to remove the tines on my tiller to replace the seals. After much hammering, I have come to the conclusion that I have to split the case to remove the shafts in order to replace the seals. Am I correct?
HyperPete 787 #23431 Posted May 1 I removed the leaky fuel petcock from my 1-0440. No o-rings, just a single seal that I'm unable to remove. I replaced it with a 1/4" ball valve. Suddenly, the fuel filter fills completely, and the engine has stopped stalling at idle. I should have done this long ago. I don't even think I am going to try to find the original replacement since this works so well. Oh, and I can now fill the gas tank without worries of it being empty the next day! 2

nylyon-(Admin) 7,841 #23434 Posted May 1 Rebuild 3 noisy spindles for a 42” RD. Plan is to sand down the deck, prime and paint, then new gauge wheels and anti-scalp wheels too. 8

MainelyWheelhorse 1,339 #23440 Posted May 1 Today was the first mow of the season. All was good until I almost broke a PTO to deck belt for the 42” RD on the 312. The belt and deck came on the 308 when I bought it so I wasn’t expecting perfect. Then the throttle lever knob on the 312 came off. I epoxied it back on so it’s good. Tis’ the season…. 4

Check you mule drive and center pulley bearings, The remains of that belt look too good for it to come apart like that. When I had a customer come in with a shredded belt I told them if the new one fails right away, I won't warranty it until I see all of the pullies. They almost always had at least one bad one.

The mule drive should be good. It came with the 312. I’ve had no issues before today with it or shredding belts. I’ll look into it. Thanks!

HyperPete 787 #23445 Posted May 2 I unloaded the rocks I bought with the FEL and put them in place. (It could lift 3 at once) They look a WHOLE lot smaller now; I may need to go get a few bigger ones. 3

This may have been discussed already, but if the first pump failed in one drive, I would make sure all the fuel supply to it is still filtered. It may be wise to just toss another filter in pre-pump 2

Seems to me you are creating a hazard could be a problem if they causes an injury. I know it can be aggravating if drivers stray off the pavement but you could be opening a big can of worms. 8
SylvanLakeWH 28,077 #23449 Posted May 2 Here in Michigan no way MDOT or local road authority would allow... my neighbors just moved theirs after a notice from the city... For good reason... those will launch a car... motorcycle, bicyclist... I have same problem but I'll live with it vs creating a safety issue... 2
