Wheel Horse 3D 3,644 #18677 Posted March 31, 2023 (edited) Dig Dug got its first fire up for the season, readjusted the carb as starting had been super hard since the fall when I last adjusted it. Come to figure out I had managed to invert my adjustments and had set the high idle to the low idle setting and the low idle to the high idle setting! Amazing how well it ran once started even completely adjusted backwards! My original complaint was high idle. Well.... after adjusting this time and figuring out my massive error(we will not try to powder coat and call it a "faux pas", or even a "mistake") I now have full choke range, full throttle range and idle is much lower than before. Tonight I'll do a cold start and see how improved starting is. Thanks everyone for the tips etc. on another thread. It was up to a balmy 37 degrees F. so a nice day to get the hose out. Looks much better now. I let it dry then installed the fender and seat. Rest of the covers will get installed after a good dry-out period. I will also give it time to show any more leaks. Here I thought I was a little fanatical about keeping my tractors clean! @cleat has me beat! By the way, I think the chain four links from the top might have a slight twist in it. Lucky for me a simple three jaw puller and very little effort, it slid right off. The seal put up a little fight but I got it out and then ran out of time. Stormin 9,976 #18697 Posted April 3, 2023 Got the B-80 from the back of the workshop yesterday, where it had been sitting for 4-5 weeks. Started up first turn of the key. Discovered the lift handle was all wrong. When it was forward the lift bar was up and vise versa. The link rod had been fitted all wrong. Sorted that, then turned my attention to the parking brake. The park lever would not engage. Easy fix. Just slackened of the brake rod adjusting nut a little. Fitted a hitch to the rear and it's all ready for doing a bit of rolling of the mess a mole made of the verge by the pond. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
