WHX??

Unbelievable how good it starts & runs with a $15 carb ... little cold blooded but once she warms up look out! :D

Gets worse with a hydro lift & down pressure.

I never really even needed the down pressure. Just the weight of the plow things worked.

Tried the new 2 stage blower. When the snow was dry it threw n an incredible arc...was worried about liow flying aircraft. When the rain came and the snow was really wet it still performed well but much decreased distance. Biggest issue I had was spinning rear wheels.  I need to get a rear receiver hitch on and add some more weight. Actually got stuck on the wet lawn where I was trying to clear some dog walk paths, that 2 stage is dang heavy.

Absolutely agreed.

Lowell sells a great one.

There are "cheaper" ones for sale on fleeeBay. I do NOT recommend them. Thin metal and the receiver opening is the wrong size.

Have you fluid filled the tires too?

No fluid in the tires. Perhaps in the spring when I get some better rear rims. I have about 320 lb of rear wheel weights.  I reach out to Joette at WH Parts & More and waiting to hear back about getting a receiver hitch out to me as soon as possible, hopefully by Tuesday so I can get it on before the next storm. That adds about 65 lb IIRC. Then I have a weight distributing hitch from my 11K trailer that should add about another 70 or more pounds. Hopefully that does the trick. If not I'll figure something out to add more back there. Hard to stop those wheels from spinning but I guess that shows the drive train has some snot to it.

You're most certainly headed the right direction.

I'd be surprised if the hitch alone adds 65 lbs but maybe...

If you could get that receiver on then add a cargo cage or something you could really pile the weight on.

You could also get a receiver extension. Add weight to the top of that.

I'd be aiming for around 200 lbs added to the hitch.

I got the blower back together mainly expect for the shoot direction handle. And I had a pumpkin that need to be disposed of. When the shoot popped out of position I accidently launched a few pieces over the fence decent sized ones too lol

Also spaced the seat pan up an inch to clear the new hydraulic lift line fitting she beef. Needed something quick snow is scheduled for next week and this is my only free time.20221217_160042.jpg.1ca472fb2480d51a3d3fb7e318d17a8b.jpg20221217_160052.jpg.a3e54b9d7d3cf172c6639a9302df32b0.jpg20221217_160057.jpg.dd5ce1dc2bc9337032bd33e1122a8270.jpg

I tapped it... I saw it the whole time I didn't have a good holder for it and didn't want to case it.

Hi, my first post.

I just got a 314-8 from my friend/neighbor who bought a new JD diesel so he gave me his WH. I'm new to these guys but I love it already! I put the 48" blade on it and it kept dropping down when I had it in the up position so I pulled it apart and found the chassis plate had broken at the lift arm bearing support. I machined a bushing and welded it in place.

I have some other issues to resolve but right now I can plow this winter, I'll wait for next summer when it's warmer before I dig into anything else.

welcome! :text-welcomeconfetti::wh:

Welcome!!! This group is awesome. There will be someone that has an answer pretty quickly too most of the time.

Oh and by the way this won't be your only wheelhorse lol

So I ask Dan @Achto what brand belts & size worked good on his 701 resto... don't remember he says... well what the #%*& good are ya I says? :D

So I does a quick search here and Squonky says AX-29s in a thread from 1932.

Let's not let @squonk know he knows what he's talkin about.. he'll get a even bigger head and be unbearable...:D

15 clams for a matched set in the jungle and at my door in three days. On a sunday to boot! Perfect fit.

Now how can you beat that?!?!

If you think I'm unbearable, try hanging out with the few people that are actually smarter than me! :hilarious:
