Oh no no. Not so much for speed though it will be able to MOVE.  I've used a small transmission pulley and obviously well oversized rear tires.  

 

My reason for wanting that info is so I can design a better working OPEN belt guard/guide.

That's the wrong way you need as large a transmission pulley as will clear the axle to slow it down.  At least a 8" pulley on the transmission, that will bring it close to normal WH speed.

It'll be in low range though. 

 

 

Should work fairly well. 

If not I'll just remove and replace as necessary.

I my tranny is also set back a bit more. distance pulley to pulley is longer then stock. so will it be on Collossus too. That is a long way for a belt to have just one tensioner pulley. some supporting pulley would really get a lot of the slop and belt floatation out.

I would like some extra speed. I sometimes have to drive a couple of miles on pavement.  I reduced my rear pulley size to 4" as well.  tires are going to be 27" high.

My diesel will only turn 3000rpm max. so my expected top speed would be around 15mph

Certainly is. 

 

I do have a 7" spacer between the frame and transmission. 

But the K582 is SO big I'll end up moving the engine pulley center back maybe half of that. 

 

I haven't measured it yet...

It is 4" but the centrifucal pto is big. So I will be running a 1:1. Durability wise, the limit I feel comfortable with. Knowing my engine doesn't rev to 3600rpm.

@AMC RULES  great opportunity , only if you want to , put a fuel check valve , VERTICALLY IN PLACE  , just after fuel pump discharge and to carb intake , always a ready charge of fuel held in place , tell me how it quick starts , pete

Your decrease in engine RPM is 16.7  or .17% the increase in tire diameter is also 17%  that cancels out. Your increase in RPM with you gearing by changing from 6.5" to 4" is .625 or 63%.

At  the standard WH 5.5 MPH x 63% = 3.5 MPH or total of 9 MPH.

Been hunting for some weight for the front of my 312 and found a piece of 2 x 4 solid bar at the scrap yard which should do.  About 42” = 110 lbs!  Will hack it up somehow in the next few days
