That is a very nice truck.. and I believe they are so ugly that they're cool:) I'd drive it

but honestly, based off the number of 70's Dodge's I've seen vs Ford's and Chevy's. They had to have been a POS.

I never see them, and when I do, they are never on the road.

I believe part of their demise was lack of aftermarket body parts for years.  I can let you know how bad they are in a little bit.   I just bought this and am bringing it home in a couple days.  :D

O boy o boy o boy. Fire truck!!!!!!!!!!!!

That one is the next body style up from the funky body lines. That's the one that had lil red express and power wagons. You DO see those a little more often.

Got it home.  New fuel pump and it runs and drives.  Will pressure wash and clean it today.

Here is how it looked 10 years ago when they took it out of service.

Sweet, when I was growing up my dad had a 1950 Stud that he bought in 1962 when he came back home (from serving in the Army as a Ranger stationed in Germany) to haul pulp wood on but by the time I was old enough to remember it was just a hay/wood hauler thanks for posting.

Sharin cuz i just really like this pic.

was raised a Chevy man; got the white one in '11...havent looked back yet, tho ill always love the Bowtie...

White one (White Knight)is a 99 (comming up on 200,000mi this month); black one an '01 (Always bet on Black).

Not 'vintage", maybe...but old enough, these days...

Not a very old pic; taken last yr. Month b4 this, there was also a red '98 in the lineup. The black one... Just after i had the suspension redone, n b4 the time n bodywork my Dad put into it. 70,000 or so miles on the clock. Pic was actually taken on my birthday.

Happy Day, for me, for lotsa reasons.

Lotta changes since then.

Hopefully, i get it back, soon😪

My late dad owned a few old trucks. He owned a 49 dodge flatbed once talk about a pooch. That truck had no guts. Then I remember our 1951 ford f7 I miss it the most. That truck had a flathead v8 in it totally rebuilt by my dad and uncle jim. Then a 1960 ford custom cab i sold when he died and the last truck was our 1964 ford f600 it was south milfords water tanker my late dad bought it with only like 2364 miles on it. When i sold it to a kid locally it had only 17,000 original miles. I miss the old gal everyday. It went to a good home tho. I didnt want it to sit i was afraid she would rot into the earth and i didnt want that. it fired up every time. it sat ever sisnce my dad died i went out to my inlaws and started it and checked her fluid every once in a while. It is now on the road again i keep in touch with the kid i sold it to his friend bought it. I drove the old girl to my last day of highschool with my now wife. It was a hit at the school!

Welp found the original title my dad had for the 64 ford f600 when he bought it from the fire department. I took photos of it before i transferred it to my name and sold it. look at the miles! The sad thing was they drove it on the trailer but hauled it home with a stinkin chevy. LOL
