Horse'n Around

I have been into Wheel Horses ever since my Dad left me his 702 in 2000.I did manage to buy another neat 702 when I was in PA from a gentleman that lives in New Jersey . Since then it has become painfully obvious that there are very few Wheel Horses around out here in Arizona. Also everytime I see a neat old Wheel Horse for sale it is located most of the time back east  I have a small request..... could some of you nice folks that live where these can be found do me a favor and bring a few truckloads of neat old Wheel Horses and parts to Arizona so I can buy some. Please, please, please?????

It must have to do with the fact that I live in the desert or something hahaha I feel really left out and sorry for myself.Heck I would even be happy to get a snow blower and it never snows here  I am a new member and when I see and hear about all the great finds I just feel a little left out  In all seriousness, this is a great forum and Im thankfull to be a member, thank you for enduring my pitty party as my Mom would have called it.

Sincerely,

John Rogers

 Glad you found us.

You can always go on ebay for parts.

And who knows? You might be able to take a road trip

out this way...

I'll haul out as many of whatever model you want..... But when I get there I want a rust free 1968--1970 Chevy Nova with a manual transmission FLOOR SHIFT from the factory. Doesn't have to be an SS and I don't care about what engine either----thats what us guys in the North East with all the Wheel Horse's cry about all the time---man all of the cool rust free old cars are out in Arizona and we can't get to them. :dunno: So we are in the same boat so to speak.

 I agree with Tony, I'll trade you a trailer full of Wheel horse's for a clean body, prefer a nova also, but would take many others, here in the rust belt, they don't last this long, heck I even have WH's that have completly rusted out

Stephen beat me to it, I was going to say Bruce out in CA has shipped many tractors from the Ohio area out West. I think if you find the right company its not so bad having them trucked out. Oh.. and Id have to get a clean old F series or Mustang.

The Chev parts are too rusted even out there in the desert climate... Rust came standard on the Chevs..

what you need is a son that moves out to AR to work for a couple of years. They always come back. Mine came back and brought

2 1967 Ford econoline vans and a 1953 Ford and a 1967 VW faxtback. :omg:

My son is into the 60's...wonder where he gets it.

Welcome to RedSuare :dunno::lol:

One of his friends came back with a 1957 Ford Thunderbird...red with white interior...Awesome

Yep--thats the car for me!!!! Swap out the Keystones for a set of Cragars and it would be perfect  . I have a 1970 and a 1971 but they are bith sitting under cover and suffer from there fair share of rust..... SOMEDAY I hope to fix them. The '71 is an ss with a small block and floor shift automatic. The 70 is a plain jane two door coupe with a small block and a 3 speed floor shift. Nothing $50,000 wouldn't restore....

I gotta ask... are you a LEO? I'm retired from working the streets.

Sounds like you should find a Nova, load it on a trailer, and haul it to PA for the June show. Then you could turn the Nova into some 'Horse funds, buy some 'Horses and haul them back home.

Now if'n ya was ta find a nice, solid pre '58 T-bird at a good price I'd give you some of my 'Horse funds for it if you would drop it off along the way.

Now Jim, at least up in these parts, a solid pre-'58 T-Bird would require an armed escort service and a Brinks truck......and/or a whole LOAD of fully restored Horses!

Rust free, western dry climate cars are in high demand in the rust belt. It should be pretty easy to find an interested buyer.
