Tankman 3,523 #6 Posted November 14, 2017 Hillbilly: I have one, not needed, 48" plow the PO wore to, almost, the edge mounting holes. I flipped the edge, works well. I'm thinking, stitch weld the edge to the moldboard. Then drill the 3" wide flatbar to bolt on. I use stainless bolts and Never-Seez on all threads. WD-40 (water displacement) or any oil along the cutting edge top side so it runs between the moldboard and the bolted edge. Plow is always set down on wood blocks when in my barn, out of puddles. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
P3x 57 #7 Posted November 24, 2017 To save wear and tear on my asphalt drive way, I purchased a Heavy Duty Plastic (HV Yada-Ya) edge for my plow blade wear edge a couple of years ago from eBay. It's worked well but not sure if it will last this winter and is not wide enough to flip. Have read lots of posts with folks using conveyor belt strips for wear edges, deck seals, and a host of other uses. Wanted to give it a try but could not locate a source with reasonable shipping. Saw an an ad on CL from a place selling used Fire Hose with additional "re-purposed materials." They have conveyor belt strips 6"W X 10'L X 1/2" Thick listed for 40 USD and free shipping.
